good morning.

Just a little frame from breakfast this morning. David and I called this "breakfast polenta" -- it's just polenta cooked up with a little sugar and cinnamon, and I've added dried sour cherries during the cooking process. Top it off with a little almond milk, and hey, delish.

oh! lets see... i just sort of throw stuff in a pan, but i guess this will do it:

2/3 cup water
1/3 cup polenta/corn meal
dash cinnamon
dash sugar
handful of nuts/dried fruit.

boil water, then add corn meal while whisking quickly. make sure to whisk, or else the corn meal will clump up! cook until "done" - about 3-5 minutes. add cinnamon and sugar, and the dried fruits or nuts. serve with a splash of almond milk (or milk of your choice) and topped with some cinnamon, sugar or sliced almonds.

enjoy!
